As part of my third year at the University of Bath I completed a year-long internship with the Western Australia Institute of Sport. This was undoubtedly a fantastic opportunity which I will talk about more in a later post. During the year, whilst learning from top practitioners within various Sport Science roles it became apparent that I would need to upskill in coding and data visualisation if I was ever going to reach the pinnacles of my chosen professional field.

I used this project as an opportunity to learnt the basics of R and Tableau in my free time; creating my own database, statistical analysis and presentation. I aimed to assess the factors affecting pass success during two touch play, presenting pass completion percentage in radial bar graphs and using chi-squared tests for statistical analysis.

Disclosure: In this project, I included some Australian NGB's logos as organisations that I have worked with, however, this was alongside their employees providing a service as part of my employment with WAIS, rather than direct employment from any NGB.
